Ultimate Dungeon Terrain

Professor Dungeonmaster shows you how to make the cheapest, best-looking, most versatile dungeon terrain ever. Don't bother spending your money on expensive resin dungeons or on a 3-D printer! The Professor can show you how to make superior terrain for under $30!
What a craft !!! wow, the subtle and keen skill make me feel impressive. Try this craft my friend and buy the essentials below. Why don't you try this stuff in your leisure time my friends? to impresses  none other than "yourself?"

This video is about Ultimate Dungeon Tiles:

I started out with 1-inch thick Foamular XPS foam insulation from Home Depot, $5 for one sheet, about 2'x2'. I cut it into an 18'' circle, adding random angled cuts around the edge, then drew a 1''x1'' grid with a ballpoint pen.

I used a wood burner to lightly score the grid, adding a couple cracked tiles as I went.

The whole thing took about 45 minutes to groove.

After that I added a black acrylic base coat, then covered it with Craft Smart tan acrylic. I used Craft Smart suede acrylic to dry-brush in weathering details, then applied two coats of a black wash to darken it all up. Then came one coat of Elmer's clear glue to give it a tougher shell, then a couple coats of a clear matte spray to seal it and protect it from snack-covered fingers.

I've also made a handful of room pieces so far, with more to come. By using these as corner pieces, I can create easy-to-visualize room layouts without the need for a *lot* of wall tiles.

The Ultimate Dungeon Terrain sits on an 18'' wooden craft circle, which is attached to a lazy Susan...hinge? I can easily spin the disc to switch up the viewing angle. In the future I plan on making different themed terrains for forests, snowy mountains and caves, deserts, etc.

I made the UDT, pillars, and doors by following the instructions from the Dungeon Craft YouTube channel

It wasn't super expensive, was fun to make, and will be used for years to come. I'm excited to unveil it to my players!

1. First, you will need a piece of wood with some surface imperfections: Cracks, knots, and holes.

2. Now, it's time to make the mix the resin.

3. Don't forget the pigmented resin that will give your shelves the glow you are looking for.

4. Here is how it should look when it's all mixed together.

5. Tape the bottom of any holes or cracks so what you will be pouring into it stays put.

6. Before you pour anything in, make sure the surface is level.

7. Start Pouring! check back in one hour to make sure you are not dealing with any leakage.

8. Keep it coming! you will want to let it be for at least a few days before you move on to the next step.

9 When it all nice and hardened,  remove all of the tapes and start sanding.

10. When you are through sanding, cover the wood with about eight or nine coats of your favorite oil finish.

11. When the finish is dry, your shelf is now ready to hang.

CUBLI

Science GIF's

Gajamohan Mohanarajah (ETH Zurich, Lab of Raffaello D'Andrea) at the 2013 WORLD.MINDS Annual Symposium: The Cubli. A cube that can jump and balance. Event curated by Rolf Dobelli. The Cubli is a 15 × 15 × 15 cm cube that can jump up and balance on its corner. Reaction wheels mounted on three faces of the cube rotate at high angular velocities and then brake suddenly, causing the Cubli to jump up. Once the Cubli has almost reached the corner stand up position, controlled motor torques are applied to make it balance on its corner. In addition to balancing, the motor torques can also be used to achieve a controlled fall such that the Cubli can be commanded to fall in any arbitrary direction. Combining these three abilities -- jumping up, balancing, and controlled falling -- the Cubli is able to 'walk'.
Lead Researchers: Gajamohan Mohanarajah and Raffaello D'Andrea This work was done at the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control, ETH Zurich, Switzerland and was funded in part by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), grant number 146717.

There sitting on that porch, that light-eyed man, a pitta like me, was my ex-husband and that woman whose inner element I was unaware of unless bitch is accepted as an undiscovered fourth dosha, was his young wife.

In the serene sanctuary of Kerala’s Shanthamaaya spa where food is rationed, sex forbidden and emotions centered, Anshu meets someone familiar and deeply unsettling – her ex-husband. Bittersweet, funny and wise, Pyjamas Are Forgiving confirms Twinkle Khanna as one of our great storytellers.

Good morning, it’s 6 a.m. and I am wide awake because the man of the house has decided that he needs to perform a series of complex manoeuvres that involve him balancing on his left elbow. When I fell asleep last night, there was a baby lying next to me. Her smelly diaper is still wedged on my head but aside from this rather damp clue, I can't seem to find her anywhere. I could ask my mother-in-law if she has seen the baby, but she may just tell me that I need to fast on alternate Mondays, and God will deliver the baby back to me . . . Full of wit and delicious observations, Mrs Funnybones captures the life of the modern Indian woman—a woman who organizes dinner each evening, even as she goes to work all day, who runs her own life but has to listen to her Mummyji, who worries about her weight and the state of the country. Based on Twinkle Khanna’s super-hit column, Mrs Funnybones marks the debut of one of our funniest, most original voices.

Twinkle Khanna book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad
The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad

...................

Ever since I was a little girl, I always had my nose buried in books. Books were my escape, they were my solace. I would run away to have tea with Alice in Wonderland, hop from one ink-stained asteroid to another with the Little Prince. I even reached Mars with Philip K Dick, decades before the Mars Orbiter Mission. When I finished 12th grade, being rather academically inclined, I wanted to study to be an accountant. My parents though were both in the entertainment industry and were keen that I follow in their footsteps. Like many young people I caved in and joined the family business. Eight years later, I had to face the fact that I had spectacularly failed as an actress. I went through a brief period of despair, till I realized that having failed at something did not mean I was a failure, it just meant that I now had the opportunity to try and succeed at myriad other things. I decided to cut my losses not my wrists and went back to working around all the things I had always loved. Somewhere along that path, I found my place in the world of words, a place where I could finally thrive surrounded by my beloved books, both as a reader and now as a writer as well. If my journey has taught me one valuable lesson then it is the importance of being resilient. This is something I try and inculcate in my kids as well. I tell them and perhaps also end up reminding myself that life is just like flying a kite. Sometimes you have to leave it loose, sometimes you have to hold on tight, sometimes your kite will fly effortlessly, sometimes you will not be able to control it and even when you are struggling to keep it afloat and the string is cutting into your hand, don't let go. The wind will change in your favour once again. Just don't let go. #KohlerBoldStories #PechaKucha #WomensDay #Kohler
